Support Habitat Conservation: Buy A Duck Stamp

Do you know what the Federal Duck Stamp buys you besides free admission into Parker River National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) and other NWRs across the country? It buys you - and the bird, mammal, amphibian, and other species that use it - habitat. Ninety-eight cents out of every dollar generated by sales of the Federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp or "Duck Stamp" goes directly to purchasing or leasing wetland habitat for protection in the NWR system. Created in 1934 as a federal license for hunting migratory waterfowl, the Duck Stamp has become an important tool in wetland conservation. A given year's stamp is good from July 1 to June 30. You can purchase one at Parker River NWR, your local post office, and even online. For more information, visit the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service website.
