Keynote Speaker:
Ernesto Ruelas Inzunza
Ernesto will discuss the status of some species of raptors. The
emphasis of this talk will be on those that are increasing and
decreasing at great rates (such as Bald Eagles and American
Kestrels, respectively), but he will attempt to cover many other
migrating hawks while offering some information to explain those
trends. |

Additional guest speaker:
Joey Mason
“Kestrels in Decline”
Joey Mason and Mike Maurer have been monitoring
American Kestrel nest boxes in Southeastern Mass for 18 years. Joey
will give a brief background on their study. The focus of the
program will be on the factors contributing to all the failed
kestrel nesting attempts and the numerous theories on why this
wonderful falcon is declining.
